A DataFast alternative when the app is half the product.

DataFast calls itself revenue-first analytics: money per channel, funnels and a long list of integrations, with an API, a CLI and an MCP server. Tapll starts from the product instead: the app and its website in one project, natively instrumented on iOS, with the site cookieless by default.

Why teams pick Tapll over DataFast.

  • One project for the app and its site

Platform is a dimension of every view, with a switcher per platform, instead of a website tool and an app tool.

  • Native on iOS

Crashes grouped into issues and named with dSYMs, releases with before and after, and App Store funnel, keywords and reviews next to usage.

  • Cookieless unless you choose otherwise

Nothing is stored in the browser by default. When you want retention and identity, the optional built-in banner gives Accept and Decline equal weight.

When DataFast is the better choice.

  • You take payments through Shopify, LemonSqueezy or Polar, or send them from your own backend: DataFast connects those and has a Payment API, Tapll reads Stripe and Paddle.
  • You need Google Search Console keywords with revenue estimates, or X and Reddit mentions.
  • You want to query your data from code, a terminal or an agent: DataFast has an API, a CLI and an MCP server, and Tapll has none.
  • You use many frameworks or a CMS and want a ready integration, or you are moving over from Plausible.

Questions about switching from DataFast.

Does Tapll attribute revenue to channels?

Yes, for Stripe and Paddle. Pass `tapll.sessionId()` in the checkout metadata (or Stripe’s `client_reference_id`) and Traffic shows net revenue, customers, conversion and revenue per visitor for each channel, referrer, campaign and entry page. Revenue goes to the customer’s first known visit — or, cookieless, to the visit that paid — renewals follow the subscription, refunds come off the same channel, and payments with no visit stay in a “Not attributed” row. It is labelled correlation, never cause.

Can I query Tapll from code?

Not yet. There is no public API, CLI or MCP server.
