Which channels go with the people who pay?

Tapll reads the channel and campaign from the first page view of a visit, and ties a Stripe or Paddle payment to that visit when checkout carries its id. You see traffic and money for the same source, side by side, with the sample size.

The problem. Sound familiar?

  • A traffic report that ends at the pricing page and a payments dashboard that has never heard of a channel.
  • A “best channel” read off a handful of purchases, as if it were a measurement.
  • Website money added to in-app revenue until nobody can say which is which.

Where Tapll answers it.

  • 01

    Pass the visit into checkout

`tapll.sessionId()` goes into Stripe Checkout `metadata` or Paddle.js `customData`, so the payment and its renewals carry the visit.

  • 02

    Traffic by channel

Direct, search, social, email, paid and referral, plus referrers and UTM campaigns, each against the previous period.

  • 03

    Money at each source

Net revenue, paying customers, conversion and revenue per visitor for every channel, referrer, campaign and entry page — never summed with the app’s revenue. Payments with no visit attached stay in a “Not attributed” row.

Questions.

Does Tapll say a channel caused the sales?

No. A visit’s first-touch source goes with a purchase; it is not proof that it caused it. The comparison carries a correlation badge and the number of purchases behind it.

Which payment providers work?

Stripe and Paddle (Billing). Each is its own source and they are never added together.
